Shelbyville’s Ambassadors of Welcome by Cities of Migration (2011)
This story highlights the efforts of Tennessee’s Welcoming Ambassadors who aim to correct negative perceptions of immigrants by facilitating discussion on immigration among members of Tennessee’s immigrant and non-immigrant populations. Ambassadors also seek to improve the quality of life for immigrants by serving as advocates to those who have recently arrived to the United States.
